Stretch and Technique

In order to enable the growth of our students, Innis Dance Studios offers weekly Stretch and Technique classes. Benefits include:

Development of correct posture
Increasing flexibility and range of motion
Decreasing risk of injury
Reduction of post-dance soreness
Breathing techniques

Classes are offered to students of all ages and are an integral part of building a strong physical and theoretical foundation for our growing dancers.

Acrobatics

There are 4 levels of Acrobatics offered to IDS students depending on experience, skill-set and strength. Classes involve extensive body conditioning and elements of gymnastic movements, brought together with modern jazz choreography.
This versatile class enables students to develop skills involving:

Strength training
Flexibility
Stamina
Confidence

Hip Hop

Beginner and Intermediate levels of Hip Hop are offered to IDS students. Classes are split according to age, experience and skill-set. This fun, upbeat class involves building on dancing skills including:

Power
Stamina
Confidence
Character Building
Popping/Locking
Strength
Sharpness

Adult Dance Classes

Dance classes for adults are offered for parents and friends in 5-week blocks. These classes are ideal for those who are wanting to increase fitness levels and meet new people in a fun and friendly environment. Classes aim to build:

Strength training
Flexibility
Stamina
Confidence
Fitness
Coordination
